Eurostar trains are coming to Spain!
Eurostar bosses are drawing up plans to run their high-speed trains to Spain, Rome-Italy, and Lisbon-Portugal with Eastern Europe also being considered, Transport Secretary Grant Shapps revealed yesterday.
Spanish nationals and British ex-pats have welcomed the news that Eurostar is to expand into Spain. Currently, the furthest Eurostar takes passengers is the south of France – around 800 miles from London.
John Bryant who lives in Malaga said:
“Its fantastic news for us here in Malaga, I regularly make the trip back to the Uk with my Pet Uk transport business and when I found out about Eurostars planned I thought how great it will be. I drive on my own and its really tiring and sometimes can be dangerous as I nearly fell asleep last year on journey to Santander!”
Mary Shallow from Fuengirola said:
“Om god, my husband will be so happy when I tell him, he hates the drive back I don’t/won’t fly so we have to. I wonder how much it will be?”
