PEOPLE who are in a situation of social vulnerability and the disabled may benefit from a dentist consultation service in Malaga promoted by the Heroes Foundation and that has the support of the City Council.
The Heroes Foundation explained that the initiative arises from the demand for this type of dental care not covered by the Andalusian Health System and that for some families it is “impossible” to pay financially in private clinics. The service has voluntary staff, including dentists, dental hygienists as well as clinic assistants and is addressed to those who are in monitoring and social support by the Community Social Services. Representatives of the College of Dentists of Malaga and the Solidarity Dentistry Foundation, together with those of the Heroes Foundation and the mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, have signed a collaboration agreement on Tuesday to serve the largest number of people in need of this service.
