Author signing copies: Book number three in the Zambia Trilogy Credit: Ann Patras
Ann Patras, a writer who lives in Alhaurin el Grande, has delighted her fans with the release of her eagerly awaited book number three in the Zambia Trilogy of her Africa Series. “Much More Into Africa” continues the lighthearted look at life in the tropics when Ann and her family relocate to Zambia. The official book launch and signing will be held at local Africa themed pub, The Boma, in Alhaurin el Grande on Friday, February 7 from 4pm to 6pm. Fans can meet the author, pick up a paperback copy and get it signed for the personal touch.
In a chatty ‘writes as she speaks’ style, the books describe the family’s encounters with a variety of people and wildlife, as well as the somewhat unusual day-to-day lifestyle experiences.
The author confesses, “I must admit this final book in the Zambia Trilogy was more difficult for me to write than the first two. You see, my books are based on letters I wrote home to family and friends all those years ago, and of which I kept carbon copies.” She went on to point out that “when writing this final book I had to rely much more on my memory, and occasionally on those of my equally old pals, two of whom thankfully live locally.”
