Spain’s Malaga has once again woken concealed by a blanket of thick fog known as “taro” thick sea fog.

As Euro Weekly News understands, there are at least five flights with problems landing at Malaga Airport, while another seven have been diverted.

It’s expected that the fog will dissipate as the morning progresses. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) expects the fog to reappear at night, as it did last night and has continued through until this morning.

The Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) have also issued a warning to drive carefully because of the fog on the A-7 and the MA-20 along its entire route in the province of Malaga, as visibility is very reduced due to the fog. This fog warning is also maintained for the old N-340, in the section between Nerja and Almuñécar.
