MULTIPLE people have been attacked by an American Staffordshire Terrier in Spain.
As reported by sources close to Vila-real City Council, the dog, whose breed is classed as ‘dangerous’, mauled three residents in the municipality this morning (February 4). It is understood that one of the injured individuals was the owner of the canine and the other injured parties were a 47- and 87-year-old woman.
It is understood that the dog, who is aged three and a half years old, became frightened and was able to pull itself off from its lead before it launched its attack whilst being walked in a park by its owner.
All those that were bitten were taken to University Hospital La Plana de Vila-real where it is reported by medical personnel that none of their injuries are considered to be life threatening.
As Euro Weekly News understands, the Local Police have now processed an order to the Department of Health as per protocol, and the dog will be quarantined for 14 days. There is no indication that the dog will be euthanised.
