NERJA is to have a monthly craft market
Trade councillor Javier Lopez revealed the ‘We Love Nerja Market’ will be staged in the Plaza de España, starting this weekend from 11 in the morning to nine at night.
There will be 40 stalls in all. Eight of these will be for local artisans.
The market will be year-round on the second weekend of every month, Lopez explained.
There will be illustrators, jewellery-makers, sculptors, ceramists and more.
“With this activity we want to dynamise and highlight the importance of the Plaza de España as a tourist attractions, aiming for it to become a leading craft market on the Costa del Sol.”
David Naranjo from Colectivo de Creativos commented that the Nerja market is the third the platform has launched. It has also organised markets in Ronda and Granada.
“Our platform has more than 500 artists, of course always also supporting local talent from the area”, he stressed.
