ALMUÑECAR council has come up with an initiative to get local residents taking part in the local authority’s cultural programme.
Culture and Fiestas councillor Alberto Garcia Gilabert has presented the new ‘Tarjeta Cultural’ (cultural card), which he said is designed to facilitate access to culture, make it easier to get information on what is coming up and promote participation in organised activities.
Cardholders will benefit from discounts on tickets for council-organised shows and on registration for artistic or cultural workshops and courses. They will also be eligible to participate in raffles and will get a reduced rate on entrance tickets to Almuñecar museums.
A further advantage is that cardholders will be able to receive cultural programme information by email or Whatsapp.
The councillor explained anyone aged over 18 and registered as an Almuñecar resident can acquire the card free of charge from the Culture and Fiestas department offices located in the Casa de la Cultura.
