Woman brutally beaten in broad daylight in Spain's Mallorca

THE Local Police have arrested a man for gender violence after he brutally beat a woman in broad daylight.
As reported by sources close to the investigation, a 27-year-old man struck his partner multiple times in the middle of Calle Balmes in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, on the afternoon of Saturday, February 1.
The woman was hit so violently that she fell unconscious onto the floor and had to transferred by an ambulance to hospital. It is understood that medical personnel expect that the woman will make a full recovery after an examination determined her injuries were not of a serious nature.
The couple were reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time and had a heated argument before the the man launched his attack.
As a result of the incident, the man was arrested and remanded in custody before appearing in court.
