Sail away in Javea, Costa Blanca

TWENTY people are competing in Javea in the Valencian Community’s Olympic Week regatta this week. Organised by the region’s Sailing Federation and the Valencia, Alicante, Javea and Torrevieja yacht clubs, the regatta starts this Thursday, February 6th, and continues until next Sunday, February 9th.
Participants will also be able to accumulate points for the Eurosaf Champions Sailing Cup, a series of regattas first launched in 2013. Javea’s Paralympic yachtsman Rafa Andarias will be taking part in this week’s regatta, together with sailors from the UK, France, Portugal, Poland and Switzerland as well as Spain.
