BREAKING: Mass evacuation ordered as tremendous fire breaks out in London

AN ENORMOUS fire has broken out in Walthamstow in East London, with footage from the scene showing flames billowing high into the air as a mass evacuation of the area has been ordered. 

Local sources indicate that the blaze ripped out at a premises on Hoe Street, close to the Rose and Crown pub. As the incident was called into the emergency services, firefighters rushed to to the scene, where a cordon was put in place for the safety of residents.

One Twitter user wrote: “It looks like it’s the local mechanics garage in Walthamstow that’s gone up fingers crossed no one is hurt.”

The London Fire Brigade have subsequently released a brief statement on Twitter which read:

“Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters have been called to a fire at a car workshop on Hoe Street in #Walthamstow. More info to follow.”

Labour MP Stella Creasy, who represents Walthamstow, also let her social media followers know that she was currently on the scene, writing:

“Appreciate lots of you like me desperately worried by the footage of a fire near walthamstow Hoe street – am on site now so will get an update if I can. Please steer clear of area.”

It is unknown at this time if any individual has been injured or what was the cause of the fire, however, Euro Weekly News will update our readers in due course on this breaking news story.
