Maura Higgins could be forced to pull out of Sunday’s Dancing On Ice live show after she was taken ill, the Love Island star, 29, posted to Instagram and told her 2 million-plus followers she was “praying for a miracle” to help her recover in time after suffering from a “high temperature”.
Sharing a bare-faced selfie of her wrapped up in a fluffy robe, Maura looked downcast as she broke the news to fans on social media.
She admitted she was feeling ‘absolutely dreadful’, as she wrote: ‘My training was cancelled today as my temperature was too high!’
Maura is partnered up with Alexander Demetriou and is a fan favourite on this year’s series of the hit ITV show.
Posting a photo of herself lying in bed looking upset, the Irish star said: “My training was cancelled today as my temperature was too high!
“Praying I’m good for Sunday but might need a miracle.”
Last week’s live show saw Maura perform to Jessie Ware track Say You Love Me – a song she described as one of her favourites and recalled it playing in the car on the way to her first date with Curtis.
Her Love Island beau had been in the audience watching Maura skate and said he thought her latest routine had been ‘amazing’.
A nervous Maura admitted to having a ‘stumble’ during the performance and she was given 25 points out of 40 when scored by the judges.
