BREXIT UPDATE: The European Council in Brussels have removed all British flags from headquarters

A few hours before Brexit is official, European institutions have begun the process of withdrawing all British symbols.

European Council building operators in Brussels have removed the British flag from the line of emblems of the member states.

Two individuals were in charge of lowering the flag. They removed the pedestal, folded it and left without a single comment through the door.

Britain will become the first country to leave the European Union after 47 years of membership. The remaining 27 states will now consider the UK a ‘third country’.
