Explosion Rocks Bristol City In The Early Hours Of This Morning

In the early hours of this morning residents in Bristol England were rocked by an explosion at around 5AM CET.

Police rushed to the scene through the city at his speed after residents called 999 still shaken by what they had experienced.

The explosion took place on Gloucester Road causing vast damage to both buildings and shop fronts with windows of both residents and shop owners blown through due to the depth of the explosion.

Fire crews also attended the scene where it appears cash point bandits had tried to blow open a cash point but failed as they completely  destroyed the ATM as well as the serious damage they caused.

Avon and Somerset Police said: “We have closed Gloucester Road in Bristol between its junctions with Church Road and Ashley Down Road today, Thursday 30 January.

“A crime scene is in place while the scene of an explosion at a cash machine is made safe and we carry out forensic investigations.

“The explosion, at about 4am (GMT) damaged windows and shop fronts but at this early stage in our enquiries it’s not thought any residents or passers-by have been hurt.
