CALPE mayor Ana Sala confirmed recently that two of the Old Town’s steepest streets will have ramps and escalators. This proposal has been included in the Revitalise Calpe programme that will be carried out with a €3 million grant from Brussels under the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) scheme. The town hall itself will be allocating another €3 million to the Revitalise Calpe project. The ramps and escalators will be installed in Calle Murillo and Calle Alcalde Vicente Pastor while further work will be carried out to improve mobility in Calle Benissa and Calle de Fora.
