ON Sunday January 26th, the fair set up for the San Antonio fiestas fell silent for two hours. Education and Family councillor Montse Villaverde explained that this was done so that children with autism spectrum disorder-many of whom are sensitive to noise or frightened by it-could enjoy the fair. Villaverde later thanked the Penya La Burrera fiestas group who organised the fair for their readiness to contact the carneys and asked them to cooperate with the initiative.
