TWO men in their forties are under arrest for beating up their former Roquetas de Mar flatmate. The Guardia Civil arrested 43-year old M.B.M. and 40-year old S.L. after a 45-year old man reported that the pair had set upon him in his home. According to the victim, the week before the attack he had received death threats and there had been cuts to the water and power supply at the property, all aimed at getting him to move out and look for somewhere else to live. Claiming he did not have the money to look for another place to rent, the assailants turned up and got violent, he said. They reportedly punched him on the head and different parts of his body and slashed him on the arm with a knife, causing injuries which needed medical attention. The Guardia opened an investigation and detained M.B.M. and S.L. on charges of causing bodily harm and coercion.
