COSTA ALMERIA NEWS: Mojacar back at Spain’s FITUR international travel fair

MOJACAR is back at Spain’s FITUR international teavel fair in Madrid this week.
A delegation from the municipality is on a stand in the Andalucia pavillion along with representatives from locations around the province.
Staff from Mojacar’s tourist office will be on duty throughout the work giving out information and responding to queries at the event which brings together travel sector professionals from around the world.
Tourism councillor Emmanuel Agüero has also travelled to the Spanish capital for FITUR, where he has a packed agenda of meetings.
The councillor is having discussions with various tour operators form the main tourism markets. Agüero is particularly focused on reinforcing the British market, both the family and sports tourism segments; he has meetings lined up with golf, cycling and scuba diving operators.
Mojacar council stressed the Tourism councillor’s FITUR agenda is aimed at strengthening existing channels of tourism promotion and at opening up new possibilities.
The local authority’s Tourism department is also using FITUR to launch the promotional videos ‘La noche romantica”’ (The romantic night), and ‘La noche de las Velas’ (The night of the candles).
The videos showcase important cultural and leisure events with a view to projecting an image of Mojacar associated with music and life, as well as showing the charms of the village.
The two videos will be used at future travel fairs and will feature on the council’s website and social media and on the prettiest village in Spain network webpage.
