COSTA ALMERIA NEWS: Cuevas del Almanzora Easter celebrations star of promotional video

CUEVAS del Almanzora’s Easter Week celebrations are the subject of a new video aimed at attracting visitors to the municipality.
Cuevas Mayor Antonio Fernandez Liria and Culture and Tourism councillor Maria Isabel Ponce Sabiote presented the new promotional video at this week’s FITUR international tourism fair in Madrid and unveiled this year’s Easter Week poster.
Joining them at the event were representatives from the municipal church associations.
“The origins of our Easter Week date back to the first half of the 17^th century, which makes them among the oldest in the region, the province and the whole of eastern Spain”, Fernandez Liria explained.
“A fiesta declared of Andalucia Tourist Interest, which maintains the tradition of the past, but which each year gains in attraction, grandeur and colour”, the mayor added.
The Culture and Tourism councillor highlighted the “dedication and effort of all the church associations, not only during those few days, but working all year without stop so that Cuevas shines in all its splendor.”
