AMAZON BOSS PHONE HACKED BY SAUDI PRINCE: Billionaire Jeff Bezos had large amounts of data stolen by malware infected video message.

Mr Bezos, 56, and Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman were having a friendly chat over WhatsApp when Bezos  opened a video message that, according to his (Bezos) forensic team, some malware infected his mobile and stole all his data.

The allegations follow the leaking of Mr Bezos’s private information to US gossip magazine the National Enquirer, as well as the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, a columnist for the Washington Post newspaper which is owned by the billionaire.

It was claimed “large amounts of data” were acquired from Mr Bezos’s phone within a matter of hours, according to the investigation into the hacking which was reportedly carried out on the businessman’s behalf.

In February 2019, Mr Bezos accused the National Enquirer of “extortion and blackmail” after the tabloid published texts between the billionaire and his girlfriend, former Fox TV anchor Lauren Sanchez. After this information had been made public Mr Bezos had a security “Blitz” and the phone hack came to light.

The malicious file enabled Saudi agents to exfiltrate data from Bezos’s phone within hours of him receiving the message, forensic analysis has concluded. The case continues…
