Two men accused of brutally beating and murdering a paedophile in Spain

TWO men are facing trial in Spain for allegedly murdering a convicted paedophile in an attempted robbery.

As reported by the prosecutor’s officer, the men, both of Romanian nationality and aged 20 and 23-years old, had targeted a 63-year-old man at his home in Valencia.

It is understood that one of the defendants knew the victim and where he had stored his valuables. During the robbery, they brutally beat the man, tied him to a chair and suffocated with a plastic bag and cable. After committing the crime, they then attempted to use his card to withdraw money at a nearby cashpoint.  to get money at an ATM with the stolen card, without success.

It is understood that the victim had a criminal record for abusing a child with local sources indicating that he would often invite young boys to his house, offering them cocaine in exchange for sexual intercourse.

Both defendants deny the charge of murder and have blamed one another for the homicide. However, prosecutors have provided forensics evidence that shows that both men were in the house and state and each as culpable of the other. As Euro Weekly News understands, they ask that upon being found guilty, the judge hands them a 28-year sentence each for murder and robbery with force.
