COSTA ALMERIA NEWS: Storm Gloria snowfall leaves roads closed to traffic

AFTER Almeria started the week with strong winds, heavy downpours and snow in many inland areas, Storm Gloria is beginning to move away today Tuesday.
The AEMET State Meteorology Agency has a yellow warning in place for snowfall in the Almanzora Valley and the Los Velez region until midday, after which the forecast is for conditions to improve.
Meanwhile the wintery weather has left a number of provincial roads closed to traffic.
The DGT Directorate General of Traffic reported that the following roads are impassable due to snow: the AL-5100 in Alcudia de Monteagud, the AL-3102 in Velefique, the AL-6104 in Seron, the A-1178 in Calar Alto, the AL-3404 in Ohanes, the A-349 in Tahal, the AL-5407 in Bacares and the AL-5406 in Las Menas in Seron.
The use of chains on tyres is necessary on a number of other roads, plus buses and lorries are not allowed to circulate: the A-317 in Maria, the A-327 in Velez-Rubio, the A-334 in Alcontar, the A-5101 in Benizalon and the Al-6100 in Tijola.
