MALLORCAN sporting hero Rafael Nadal has let the world into his home on the island, giving a tour of the property to an international television network.
Appearing on the CBS programme ‘60 Minutes’, the usually private tennis star showed off his stunning traditional Mallorcan stone chalet in Porto Cristo which is currently under renovations. Set over 7,000 square metres of land and situated on the coast, Nadal explained that he bought the property to be close to his parents.
When the work is complete it will mean that he is just 3 minutes away from where his new yacht will be moored, which he foresees may be an issue in the summer when children from Manacor will go across part of his land in order to access the sea.

Nadal had purchased the chalet in 2013 from the heirs of the family who established the iconic Mallorca Cuevas del Drach as an attraction. The property did have an asking price of €5.7 million, however the sporting talent paid €4 million.
