Mallorca News Top Story: Demolition begins of Port Marítim in Molinar, Mallorca

THE much awaited demolition of the of Port Marítim annexes in Molinar, Mallorca is underway with its improvement works expected to be completed by June of this year.
The Port Authority of the Balearic Islands (APB) has specified that the main building will be preserved and protected and only the extension to the restaurant, the pergolas and other additions that were made to the original building will be demolished.
A budget of €3 million has been allocated for the renovation works which will focus on protecting the ground surfaces and dam.
The APB has revealed that the project was delayed by six months due to the restaurateur refusing to leave the premises. However, a court order finally allowed the Authority to commence work this month.
