SPAIN has been rocked by violence after a police officer shot his ex-partner to death and then turned the gun on himself, taking his own life.
The shocking incident took place yesterday evening (January 18) when a police officer gunned down his ex-girlfriend at an apartment’s underground parking lot on Avinguda Madrid de Terrassa in Barcelona. The man had laid in waiting for his ex-partner, shooting her twice when she was outside of her car.
As reported by the Mossos d’Esquadra police force, after he committed the murder the police officer returned home and shot himself in the head. It is understood that the man used the weapon given to him by the force to use whilst on duty.
As Euro Weekly News understands, the police have now launched an investigation to clarify the exact circumstances behind the events and an autopsy is being performed on both of the deceased individuals.
