TWO men have been hospitalised following a shooting incident in Swords, north Dublin earlier today.
As Euro Weekly News understands, the incident happened earlier this morning at 11.30am at Killeek Lane, St. Margaret’s, some 6 km from Dublin Airport.
A car was peppered with bullets slaying the driver and seriously injuring the passenger.
“The driver was shot five times and another passenger in the car was shot in the back” as reported by a source to Dublin Live.
The two men received treatment at the scene before being transferred separately to Beaumont and Connolly Memorial Hospital, however the latest news to reach the Euro Weekly News desk is that the driver has died.
Gardaí have said that two men have since been arrested and are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
The shooting points at a possible “gang feud” and comes following a horrific week of violence in the north of the city.
