THE 77-year-old Cuban singer, songwriter and poet Pablo Milanés is returning to Costa Blanca after three years as part of his Essence tour which promoted his latest album.
He will be appearing at the Theatre Capitol in Rojales on Friday March 13 with tickets costing from €20 to €25.
Milanés is credited as being one of the founders of the Nueva Trova style of Cuban music which appeared following the revolution and political upheaval in the country and is considered one of the best exponents of true Cuban music.
With more than 40 albums released during his long career he has a huge back catalogue as well as the latest album which has garnered considerable critical acclaim.
Despite his age, his live shows are known for being both exciting and moving so an appearance in Rojales after playing Barcelona and other large venues is something of a coup.
