BASED in Fuengirola, the Salon Varietes offers weekly productions from autumn to early summer of various types of show, all in English.

On Saturday January 18 and Sunday January 19 they will be holding auditions from 11am until 2pm, looking to cast a number of quality performers for their upcoming presentation of the musical Evita.

Auditions will be held at the theatre, which is right in the centre of Fuengirola, just off the Plaza de la Constitución.

This is one of the theatre’s major productions for this season and is directed by Peter Mitchell, the senior show director. Children are not required for this production.

You are asked to bring along a prepared song (or dance routine) which need not necessarily be from Evita but must demonstrate your singing/acting/dancing abilities. You can bring along a backing track on USB or the director is happy for you to sing acapella if you prefer.

Parts to be cast:

Eva Peron: Excellent singer/actress, playing age 20/35

Col. Peron: Excellent singer/actor, playing age 30/50

Agustin Magaldi: A cabaret singer and tenor, playing age 25/40

Peron’s Mistress: Excellent singer. Playing age 18/25

A strong company of male and female singers/dancers is required. Every single member of the Company is important and will play several different characters.
