Three classical concerts in Murcia City Spain

LOVERS of Classical Music will be in their element in the second half of January with three concerts taking place at the Victor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia City.

The first takes place on Saturday January 18 and features the Murcia Symphony Orchestra under the direction of George Mark and featuring soloists Juan Antonio Nicolás on flute and José Antonio Domené on Harp.

They will interpret the following compositions;

Leonora Overture, no. 3, Op.72b by Beethoven


Concerto for flute and harp in C major by Mozart          

Symphony No. 1 in B flat major Spring, Op.38 by Schuman

Tickets may still be ordered online and cost from €9 to €15


Next sees a visit from the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra on Monday January 27 under the baton of Andrés Orozco-Estrada with featured violin soloist from Japan, Fumiaki Miura and they will be presenting three pieces;

A night on bare mountain by Mussorgsky

Don Juan the Strauss violin concerto

The Knight of the Rose also by Strauss

Tickets for this visit from the German orchestra cost €25 to €35

Finally, on Thursday January 30 pianist Gabriel Escudero will perform a number of pieces by Chopin as well as The Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven and tickets for this concert cost €12.
