Man and woman found shot dead in Spain as police probe possible murder-suicide

THE National Police are investigating the gruesome discovery of man and woman who were found shot dead at their home in Spain.

According to officers working on the case, the two bodies were found at a property on Calle La Fuente in Puertollano yesterday evening (January 12) with gun shot wounds. It is understood that the pair may have been dead for several days.

Residents who have spoken to the police force and local press state that they heard at least two shots being fired between Thursday night and Friday morning. An autopsy will now be carried out to clarify the exact circumstances and facts behind their deaths.

Sources close to the investigation indicate that the the deceased was a 53-year man Spanish man and the woman was his Ukranian partner. It is understood that the man was recently divorced with three children and worked in Repsol de Puertollano. Family members have also stated that the man was an avid weapons enthusiast and held a license to hold firearms for shooting practice.

As Euro Weekly News understands, the National Police have not ruled out if the deaths were part of a murder-suicide relating to gender-violence.
