COSTA ALMERIA NEWS: Body washes up on Cuevas beach

A BODY which washed up on a Cuevas del Almanzora beach on Sunday afternoon could be that of a Sub-Saharan immigrant who was trying to reach the Almeria shore in a small boat, Spanish media reported.
The Emergencias 112 Andalucia service said it was a member of the public who reported the grisly find. Guardia Civil, a health emergency team, Local Police and Cuevas Civil Protection volunteers were activated to recover the man’s corpse from a difficult to access area.
According to Spanish press reports the body in an advanced stage of decomposition suggesting in had been in the water for some time.
