The fiestas begin with the setting up of the traditional San Antonio bonfire in Plaza del Porchein Teuladaon Saturday at 12 noon, followed by bell-ringing at 1pm. At 6.30pm the streets will be filled with music and drama, with a street parade that includes pupils from the Teulada-Moraira Drama School taking the parts of the Sant Antoni fiends.
The bonfire will be lit once the parade ends with sweet mistela wine and cocamaria cake for all present. On Sunday at 12 noon, there will be a procession from the San Vicentechapel, taking San Antonio’s statute to the Santa Catalina church for the blessing of the animals at 12.30pm and distribution of the traditional SanAntonio anis-flavoured pastries.
