A VIOLENT home invasion has taken place in Spain, leading to a 48-year old man fighting for his life in hospital.
As reported by the emergency services, a group of men stormed the victim’s house located in the El Bosque district in Villaviciosa de Odón this afternoon (Thursday, January 9). He was then brutally beaten and stabbed with a knife multiple times, where sources close to the investigation reveal that cash and valuables were stolen from the property before the assailants fled the home.
The victim then pulled himself to his mobile phone and dialled the 112 emergency services hotline, requesting urgent help. Shortly after, several officers and an ambulance arrived at the property, finding the man heavily bleeding with a deep knife wound in his chest.
He was then rushed to Hospital October 12 in Madrid, where medical personnel state that he is receiving round the clock care due to the injuries he has sustained.
As Euro Weekly News understands, an attempted murder probe has been launched and the police are appealing for information to bring those responsible to justice. It is not yet clear why the men targeted the victim or how many people were involved, but it is understood that officers are hoping to be provided more details when the man recovers in hospital.
