PLEDGE: Regional government will find housing solutions. Photo credit: Moraira town hall
Ruben Martinez Dalmau, the Generalitat’s deputy vice-president recently visited Teulada-Moraira. Martinez Dalmau who also heads the regional government’s Housing and bioclimatic Architecture Department met Teulada-Moraira’s mayor Rosa Vila and the municipal corporation to discuss the Generalitat’s housing policies and environmental priorities. The mayor thanked Martinez Dalmau for visiting Teulada-Moraira and taking an interest in the town while defining its principal housing problems. At present Teulada-Moraira does not have a supply of social housing, Vila told Martinez Dalmau. Neither had the present Compromis-PSOE-Nonaligned coalition’s predecessors at the town hall taken any urban regeneration measures, she said, adding that Teulada-Moraira also had mobility problems. “The alliance between the Generalitat and Teulada-Moraira will help to find solutions and benefit the municipality’s population,” the vice-president said. Providing municipalities classed as Sensitive Urban areas with the capacity to prevent and respond to housing emergencies was one of the regional government’s priorities, Martinez Dalmau said.
