THE last Aguilon Golf Members’ Club competition of 2019 proved to be tight at the top, with just a couple of points separating the top eight players in the individual Stableford.
Staged on a splendid sunny day, and the course playing long due to the cold air and watered fairways, it was Karyn Esposito who came first with 36 points on a card play-off. Geoff Ashton was second, also on 36 points, and Vic Bee was third with 35 points on a card play-off.
Twos: Denise Adler 14th and Jim Laing 17th
The same old faces popped up on the Aguilon Golf leader board in the first competition of the New Year, which again was an individual Stableford.
This time Chris Baker was first with 38 points, Dave Simpson scored 37 points on a card play-off to come second. Bernie O’Brien was placed third with 37 points.

Chris Baker was number one on the leader board in the first competition of the New Year.
