Costa Almeria News: Green light for Seron road upgrades

PLUS POINTS: The provincial Public Works deputy said the upgrades would improve traffic flow, benefitting business, tourism and helping to address depopulation CREDIT: Diputacion de Almeria

THE Diputacion de Almeria has given the green light to upgrade works on the A-5406 in Seron.
The project comes under the administration’s Provincial Highway Network Plan.
Measures will include repairs and improvements to drainage on a number of sections in order to deal better with the effects of torrential rain, the construction of a contention wall on one part and repainting along the whole of the 8.5-kilometre road.
Public Works deputy Oscar Liria commented that actions like those in Seron “increase highway safety on these sections for all users, and at the same time contribute to improving fluidity in communications between our towns, for the coming and going of commercial products, measures which are also linked to tourism and the battle against depopulation.”
