A VICIOUS knife attack has rocked Spain as four tourists were stabbed in Barcelona in the early hours of this morning (January 5).
The male victims, who are reported to be of Chinese nationality and were visiting the popular Spanish city to ring in the New Year, were attacked at Vila Olímpica located on Calle Arquitecte Sert. The horrifying incident has shocked the local community as the area is considered to be particularly peaceful.
As reported by the emergency services, several ambulances and units from the Mossos d’Esquadrada, the police force in Catalonia, rushed to the scene where they found the four men suffering from stab wounds. The victims were then transferred to hospital where it is reported that one of the men is in critical condition.
The Spanish police have now launched a manhunt to find out who was responsible for this shocking crime, where CCTV footage is currently being analysed. As Euro Weekly News understands, it is not yet clear why the men were targeted.
