Raging house fire in Spain injures 14 leaving one in critical condition

A TOTAL of 14 people have been injured in a raging fire which broke out at a property in Tarragona, Spain.

As reported by the emergency services, the blaze engulfed an apartment block on Calle Mare de Déu de la Providencia de Tortosa this morning (Janurary 4). As a desperate call was made to report fire, ambulances and several units of the police and fire brigadge rushed to the scene, finding multiple people in grave danger.

Out of those injured, two were responding police officers, with one resident being admitted to the ICU at the nearby Verge de la Tortosa Tape Hospital in critical condition. All of the other victims have also been hospitalised after suffering from severe smoke inhalation.

As Euro Weekly News understands, the fire started shortly after 7am this morning and ravaged the first floor apartment’s dining room, kitchen and hallway. An investigation has now been launched to determine to exact cause of the blaze.
