MECANO were one of the most successful Spanish pop bands of all time. Formed in 1981 and active until 1992 they are still the best-selling Spanish band to this date, reaching over 25 million albums worldwide. They were considered by some to be avant-garde for their time and part of la Movida Madrileña countercultural movement.
It has been 27 years since Mecano performed their last Aidalai Tour, and two generations later, the music is still very present among the general public.
In 2016, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the group’s split, the tribute to Mecano, Hija de la Luna, was born.
The physical and vocal similarity of Robin Torres with Mecano vocalist, Ana Torroja is undoubtedly the key to the success of this Sevillian group and what sets the band apart from any other tribute. Robin, who participated in the 2015 edition of the Tele5 program, La Voz, and was praised for her interpretative ability by coaches and judges Alejandro Sanz, Laura Pausini, Malú and Antonio Orozco.
Between 2016 and 2019, they have performed 250 concerts through Spain and Latin America geography, selling out shows on more than 180 occasions, and becoming one of the biggest shows of the music scene.
On Saturday, February 1 they will take to the stage at the Auditori Teulada Moraira from 9 pm. Tickets can be purchased for €24 from the Sabadell tickets online website.
