RAFAL Town Council has hired 16 unemployed people registered with the Valencian Employment and Training Service (SERVEF) thanks to almost €161,000 of subsidies received through the EMCOLD programme.
These people will work full time for six months reinforcing services and carrying out improvement actions in some areas of the municipality that were damaged by the DANA storm last September.
In relation to hiring, two people have been hired as gardeners, who will focus their work on the green areas of the municipality with the aim of reconditioning them and keeping them in top condition.
A Senior Audio-visual Technician has also been hired to carry out the relevant tasks in this area. A painter and three construction workers have been included, who will focus their work on repairing damage, as well as reinforcing the tasks that have already been started by the local Town Hall’s works brigade.
A caretaker has also been hired to control access to public buildings in the municipality and three administrative assistants to strengthen the area of procedures and management.
In order to reinforce the tasks of street cleaning, five sweepers have been hired to be placed in different areas.
Thus, as indicated by the Councillor of Employment, Gabriel Valero, “the town council remains committed to maximising employment and benefit from all subsidies of this type to increase municipal staff and improve public services and the operation of the council.”
