Costa Blanca News: Gandia population growing

GANDIA has gained 733 inhabitants between 2018 and 2019, an extra 0.9 per cent more, and ranks as the eighth city in population size of the Valencian Community with 74,562 residents. This follows from the Official Population Figures for the start of the year according to the revision of the municipal registry carried out by the INE. 
Regarding other large municipalities of La Safor, Oliva reached 25,101 inhabitants (98 less), in Tavernes de la Valldigna there are 17,201 (43 more) and Xeraco reaches 5,655, with 47 less. According to the same source, the Valencian Community maintained in 2018 the population growth initiated in 2017, with 5,003,769 people registered, 40,066 more than January 1, 2018. In general, the years 2012 to 2016 were of loss of inhabitants, mainly for the return of many immigrants to their countries of origin due to the economic crisis.
