ALMUNECAR recently celebrated the successful X San Silvestre Solidaria for the benefit of the AECC. The Municipal Sports Area and the Sexitano Athletics Club were responsible for organizing the event that featured numerous costumes and a great atmosphere and participation from many volunteers from the Local Board of the AECC
The fun started with the children’s section, some of them accompanied by their parents. The runners started in the Plaza de la Constitución and headed towards Real Street, Alta del Mar and La Rosa Square, from where they returned down Baja del Mar Street until they reached Real Street and Constitution Square at the gates of the City Hall. Upon arrival, everyone received a medal for their participation and in addition, the best costumes received prizes.
The adult section was a 3.5 km route, leaving from the Plaza de la Constitución and climbing from El Majuelo park to San Miguel Castle back. As the race was not competitive for speed everyone took it easy so that the classification did not depend on who came first, but for the most original costumes.
