Murder Mystery: Three arrested as man’s body found in ‘wall cavity’ of old Bank

Police Forensic teams were dispatched to the scene at Commercial Street

A massive police enquiry is underway after a man’s body was found in a wall cavity of an old bank – sparking a murder mystery. Officers made the grim discovery at the Batley building on Sunday, since arresting three on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed they had forced their way into the Commercial Street premises to find the victim over the weekend. It is believed the man’s body was found inside the wall.

A spokesperson said: “The body, which is believed to be that of a man, was found inside the former bank premises in Commercial Street on Sunday, after officers forced entry to the building.

“Enquiries are continuing to confirm the identity of the deceased and the circumstances around the death.”

Three people were initially arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. Two have been released under investigation. The third has been bailed. Investigations continue…
