Man arrested in Spain for brutally beating his mother after neighbour hears woman’s cries for help

THE Local Police have arrested a man for beating his mother and threatening her with death in Valladolid, Spain.

The incident occurred earlier today (December 28) when the emergency services received a desperate call from a resident on Calle Cardenal Torquemada to report that a woman was screaming for her life.

Police officers raced to the scene and after no one answered the door at the property, they forced entry inside and found a woman bloodied and bruised on the floor. Her 30-year-old son was hiding upstairs, with the man being taken away by officers.

Thankfully the woman did not suffer any serious injuries, however she was taken to the nearby University Clinical Hospital for treatment and an evaluation.

As Euro Weekly News understands, the son has a criminal record and has assaulted his mother on previous occasions. He has been remanded in custody where he is due to appear in court early next week.
