COSTA BLANCA NEWS: Alcoy Local Police equipped with bulletproof vests

ALCOY council has equipped the Local Police force with 53 bulletproof vests.The local authority has invested some €38,000 in the vests, which are shared among officers working different shifts.
The council explained they are for internal or external use and with high flexibility to ensure maximum comfort for the wearer.
The administration has also presented the municipality’s Local Police with two hybrid vehicles.
Alcoy Public Safety councillor Raül Llopis underlined what he said is the council’s “commitment to the acquisition of new materials so that police officers can carry out their job of dealing with the public and protecting Alcoy residents as well as possible.”
