SPAIN NEWS: Stepfather accused of sexually assaulting 8-year-old girl in Spain

A MAN has been accused of sexually assaulting his 8-year-old stepdaughter over a prolonged period of time in Lleida, Spain.

As reported by police officers working on the case, the young girl was sexually abused by the 32-year-old man in her bedroom on multiple occasions dating back to February of last year. His heinous actions were only discovered when the victim’s mother walked into her daughter’s room and found her husband with his trousers down touching the little girl in her intimate area. 

Since his sexual abuse was uncovered the man has been remanded in custody where he is due to appear in court in January. The prosecution is asking that he receives a jail term of ten years, as well as being banned from communicating or coming within close proximity of the child. 

As Euro Weekly News understands, the young girl suffers from deep anxiety and depression and for this reason the prosecution is also asking that her stepfather pays compensation amounting to €9,000 to cover the cost of her psychological treatment.
