THE police have launched a manhunt after two women were assaulted by a man in Barcelona, Spain.
As reported by sources close to the investigation, the women were approached by a man on calle Arenys in the Horta-Guinardó district this morning (December 23) as they were waiting for a bus. Asking the victims if they had a lighter for his cigarette, the man then pulled down his trousers and showed them his penis.
The women then attempted to back away, but the man then grabbed one of the women’s arms and punched her several times. He also shouted a barrage of abuse at the victims, including calling them ‘whores.’
In response to the shocking incident, the Feminist and Anti-Fascist Associated have denounced the assault to give visibility to the plight of gender-violence against women.
