Making children in need happy in Gibraltar

Elsa and Santa amongst their fans

THE last few weeks have been busy ones for Gibraltar charity as firstly, for eight days, a series of Christmas events took place in Ocean village in order to raise funds for Wobbles Children’s Charity.

There were some very special visitors including Elsa, Anna and Olaf from Frozen, Captain America, Spiderman and Iron Man who entertained and danced with the crowds of excited children.

Santa Claus was there to welcome youngsters to his Grotto and there was a Festive Treasure Hunt with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, aided by Catboy and Spider-Man.

The Christmas Market sold a selection of tasty treats and unique gifts, with stall rental income being donated to the charity.

A total of £2,200 was raised and Frankie Hatton, Founder of Wobbles thanked all who helped generate this money and confirmed that it would all go towards making children in Gibraltar happier.

Then, at the same time, the third annual Christmas gift campaign was underway at the World Trade Center and workers there and members of the local community donated no less than 480 wrapped presents to be given via the Youth Service Gibraltar to underprivileged children to make their Christmas a happy one.
