Costa del Sol News: Taking care

IT IS CERTAINLY a drop of water in the ocean of African needs, but it has benefited 102 people: those who have joined the humanitarian mission of the Foundation Surgeons in Action in collaboration with the Scalpel Solidarity Association. A total of nine health care workers have operated for a week in Uganda for people without resources. Of these, four came from Malaga.

The group departed from Malaga airport. After three flights and 12 hours on the road, the team arrived in Kamatur. That same day, after their arrival they selected the patients to operate. These expeditions have local coordinators who previously organize the mission. On this occasion, in addition to working, the nurses were able to attend the wedding of one of the team’s Ugandans.
