BUSINESS owners in La Rambla in Spain’s Palma de Mallorca have revealed that their trade has been heavily affected by the elimination of bus stops and the enforcement of parking restrictions in the area.

Antoni Fuster, the President of Pimeco, says Councillor Francesc Dalmau attributed these changes as part of a restructuring project, but that “there has been a lack of communication and coordination with the commercial sector when making these decisions.”

Fuster also raised concerns about the relocation of loading and unloading in the street, where traders claim that rubbish containers don’t leave enough room for any vehicles to stop.
