THE PICASSO Museum in Malaga will open during its usual winter hours from 10 am to 6 pm, with reduced hours from 10 am to 3 pm on December 24 and 31 and January 5, and is closed on December 25, January 1 and January 6.
Organisers have announced different activities for all audiences to enjoy as a family during the Christmas holidays starting on Saturday December 21 when The Galatea company will represent ‘Naturalistas en el Museo’, a work in which the character of a painting escapes and discovers a wonderful garden to share with all the children of the public. The rest of the characters will appear as puppets, representing each season, for example, in autumn there are dry leaves that dance in the wind and an explosion of colour will come with spring. This activity, with limited capacity, lasts 30 minutes and is free for children accompanied by a paying adult.
From Thursday 26 and Friday 27 December from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the museum starts up its Art School again. Sculpt, cut and mold ‘an artistic experience to deepen some of the themes shown in the Calder-Picasso exhibition. Registration can be done on the website www.museopicassomalaga.org.
